WHO WE ARE
These eight core elements shape and define our culture and are crucial to the success of our mission and vision…
PRAYER – Taps into the power of God.
We believe a continual conversation with God (both speaking and listening) is a way for us to tap into the power of God.
(Mark 11:24, Phil.4:6, 1 Thess. 5:17)
RELEVANCE – Connecting through today's culture
We believe we can recognize the constant changes of culture and apply them within our ministry setting without denying our scriptural responsibility. We have an obligation to be in tune with these cultural shifts.
(1 Cor. 9:22b, 2 Tim. 4:5, Heb. 13:8-9)
WORSHIP – Glorifies God continually.
We believe we are called to praise and glorify God beyond defined service times; we have a responsibility to incorporate worship as a way of life through both action and example.
(Psalms 95:6, John 4:24, Psalms 29:2)
SCRIPTURE – Guides us into faithfulness.
We believe the inerrant Word of God provides us with the best blueprint of what it means to be the church; we are called to faithfully teach it and adhere to it.
(2 Tim. 3:16, Josh. 1:8)
OUTREACH – Acts as the hands and feet of Christ.
We believe the church has a responsibility beyond its walls; to be active and present in our world through needs-based ministries and the support thereof.
(Acts 20:28, Matt. 25:40)
EVANGELISM – Leads people into a relationship with Jesus.
We believe the world needs Jesus Christ and it is the church’s responsibility to take advantage of every opportunity to share and represent what it means to know the love of God through a relationship with Him.
(John 3:16, Matt. 28:19, Luke 19:10)
RELATIONSHIPS – Foster discipleship and spiritual growth.
We believe investing in the lives of one another fosters discipleship and spiritual growth; creating avenues and opportunities is part of what it means to be a church.
(Acts 2:42-47, John 13:34-35)
EXCELLENCE – Honors God and inspires people.
We believe putting the time and energy it requires creating outstanding quality in all we do honors God and inspires people.
(Col. 3:17, Phil. 4:8, Phil. 1:9-10)
