Ideally you should find a way to separate out your entrance and exits roads earlier. WebHighways probably should go from map edge to edge and bring people to your city. Service junctions (parclo, roundabout with overpass, etc) break off arterial roads to get through the city. Ramming highways into cities doesn’t work very well. Webleave the projected axis of the stub highway clear of any buildings, so that you can extend the highway in the future choose the cheapest road surfaces for the first few years, it will save you a lot of money (I usually keep only the first perpendicular road with asphalt, and then upgrade the dirty roads as money allows) WebAnother option is to leave the last 2 pieces "unconnected" and just make a final exit on the highway for both sides, that way you can extend the highway later on. If you lay down the curve by "filling it in" to connect two stretches of road, you should be able to use the guidelines tool.
