The peritectic reaction
Webb27 sep. 2024 · A eutectoid reaction is a chemical reaction in which a solid transform into two other solid phases at the same time upon cooling. This is a three-phase reaction because one phase of matter turns into two other phases of matter. It is an isothermal reaction which forms two mixed solid phases. WebbA multi-phase-field model is applied to simulate the peritectic reaction of Fe-C alloys. The phase-field equations, the diffusion equation for the multi-phase-field model and a dilute solution approximation for the descriptions of the free energy densities are presented.
